Shopify offers built-in quantity rules for B2B stores, but DTC merchants need third-party apps to set min/max limits. Here is what each option does and when you need which.
Most limit apps only cap quantity per cart, so customers just place a second order. Here is how to enforce a true 1 per customer limit that tracks purchase history across orders, by quantity or by spend.

New exclusions feature allows merchants to apply broad rules while carving out exceptions for specific products or customers.
Weight-based order limits let merchants cap or require a minimum cart weight, keeping shipments within manageable, cost-effective ranges. Here is how they work and how to set them up.
